Archi version 5.8 is now available to download.
Archi 5.8 has been available as early access to our Patreon supporters since February 2026 and is now released as GA (General Availability). It’s thanks to this support and from other Archi supporters that this version has been developed.
New features, improvements and fixes are listed in the Version History.
Archi 5.8 is a major update introducing new features, improvements and bug fixes bringing greater flexibility, visual polish, and performance.
Here’s a summary of some of the new features in Archi 5.8.
Legends
A standout feature is the ability to incorporate dynamic Legends into ArchiMate Views, with customisable options for each instance. Concepts are automatically added or removed from the Legend depending on the concepts in the View.
You can set all the usual visual features (fill and line colours, opacity and so on) and also set features specific to the Legend and show or hide elements, relationships and specializations, and you can use the core colours or your own custom colour scheme for the figures (or no colours if you prefer):

Models Tree and optimisations
The Models Tree gains some refinements: an option to display Specialization icons, and a new alphanumeric sorting mode that handles sorts labels (1, 2, 3, 10 rather than 1, 10, 2, 3).
There are also many optimisations in diagrams and model caching, resulting in reduced memory usage, faster rendering, and smoother handling of large models. Figure image drawing has also been improved.
